What is CBD?

This article is to help clear up the question of what CBD (cannabiol) really is. As we all know CBD is an extract from the marijuana plant along with THC (tetrahydrocannabiol). CBD and THC are the two main chemicals that are of the most useful to most everyone. There are also many other uses for the cannabis plant such as making cloth, rope, and a number of other useful items, which I’ll cover later in another article.

Both CBD and THC once they are extracted from the marijuana plant are of an oilly substance. And someone figured out that CBD had madisanal properties and threw out time studies shows that CBD could also be used in aiding certain types of mental illness, which I will cover later in this artical.

I’m mainly going to concentrate on the CBD because, as we all know, THC is the chemical that give you the high you feel when a person smokes a joint and CBD does not give you that high. In fact CBD doesn’t get you high at all.

You see, the reason that CBD is such a mystery is because  with marijuana Just starting to become legal and that it has been illegal for such a long time, I believe that it became illegal world wide in 1937,  and if my math is correct that comes to about 82 years. So taking that into consideration, there isn’t that much information on CBD because during that time there wasn’t a lot of studies done about it.

However, I’m going to try and take out some of the mystery about CBD and all the great things all of you out there use this seemingly miracle extract for. The many things that CBD is used for is truly miraculous.

CBD, once it has been extracted from the plant in raw form is an oil based material that later infused into other CBD products,  such as, of course,  an oil,  a cream that can be used externally for a muscle rub,  there are also gummy CBD products as well capsules for internal use.

Pain Relief

There are claims threw studies and personal experience from one person to the next that CBD is used for pain relief of all kinds.

Starting with arthritis, that is some pretty amazing stuff if CBD can take away arthritis pain. But the truth of it is patients who have arthritis are looking for an alternative to conventional treatment because with CBD they don’t get the side effects that they would have with their arthritis medication.

Head aches, the thing about head aches is it has to be taken orally, and since the FDA hasn’t recognized CBD as a pharmaceutical drug yet it’s hard to tell how much to take for things such as a head ache or for any other reason you would have to take it orally. So, as of now until more studies are done, especially on the use of human’s, you will have to experiment with what you think is safe for you. I’ve smoked a lot of weed at one given time in my life and I think I came out of it OK. Nonetheless, use caution when taking CBD or other types of medication.

The FDA however is starting to take a good hard look at all the benefits that CBD contributes to the health benefits world wide.

Sore muscles, CBD also comes in a cream form which also makes it great for a muscle rub,  or if your a massage therapist I would think it would be great for giving massages  to help relax the muscle groups as your therapist works his/her magic.

Anxiety & Stress

Just recently studies have shown that CBD can aid in the treatment of anxiety and stress. But according to my research, it’s difficult to determine the dosage required to treat anxiety and or stress due to the fact that CBD is a relatively new product and not a whole lot of tests have been conducted on human subjects. So determining the dosage required for humans is still in the experimental stages. The suggestion, according to my research, is to try 300mg, 600mg,  or 900mg to determine  which may be right for the patient. Because, taking to little of a dose may not show results and taking to much may cause an increase of anxiety, but if a person with anxiety can find a happy medium until CBD can be regulated according to the proper dosage. Most likely the mid range of 600mg would be a reasonable dose.  But that also would depend on height and weight.

However, there have been numerous tests done on mice which showed promising results. A test had been done on some mice which half of the mice had been given CBD and the other half were given a placebo, why the scientist would give a mouse a placebo is beyond me but they did. Then a snake was put in with the mice and the mice that had been given the CBD were less anxious than the mice that had been given the placebo.

Epilepsy

CBD has also been tested on patients with epilepsy and has shown promising results in patients with epilepsy.

Can CBD be sent by mail?

That seems to be the big question going around these days. Technically, the answer is no.  Under Federal Law, cannabis is still an illegal substance under the Controller Substance Act. So what that means is, transporting any form of cannabis across state lines is considered a FELONY Trafficking offence and can result in prison time up to 5 years for the first offence.

Warning: there have been ads offering to ship CBD, if you live in a state where cannabis is still illegal then you need to take a closer look at the product you are buying. Marijuana plants which CBD is extracted from is illegal to transport across state lines. However, CBD can also be extracted from the hemp plant as well and is all rich with CBD. The process for extracting CBD is a somewhat different process. There are certain chemicals that are used for this process. So beware that if your getting CBD extracted from hemp that most likely there will be unhealthy chemicals in it.

Keep in mind that there are no Federal guidelines or standards concerning quality control.

Conclusion

I hope that this article cleared up any questions you may have had concerning CBD. If you have any comments or questions please leave them below and I will do everything I can to make sure you have the correct answer.

Grasscity is the best on line head shops you will find on the market for all your cannabis needs. They have really great bongs that are worth the money if your looking for high quality bongs by ROOR which the glass maintains the same thickness threw out the glass. This means that the glass isn’t thinner at the base as apposed to the neck of the bong.

I really enjoy using a bong to smoke my weed but I’m also finding out that vaporizers are a really effective aperatuse for smoking marijuana. The great thing about using a vaporizer is that it didn’t use smoke but vapor so all you really get is the THC and not all the other chemicals so you get a much better high than if you were to smoke it from a bong, or joint, or in a pipe.

But whatever you preference is for the way you consume your cannabis, Grasscity is the way to go for whatever you need for your cannabis use.

Amazon also has a wide variety of devices for your cannabis use as well as just about anything else you may be looking for. Myself, I do tattoos and I buy most of my tattoo equipment on Amazon as well as devices for smoking cannabis and what not.  I also get some of my bike parts from Amazon as well.  Do you know what I like most about Amazon is that they have fast delivery. I always get most of my deliveries in less then a week. So whatever your looking for you can find it on Amazon.

Cannabis News

Accordong to CNBC a spike in the cannabis work force.  As cannabis gets closer to being totally legal the number of cannabis related jobs is at an all time high around the world. With the United States having legalized medical and recreational in 33 states the job market is getting better which is lowering the unemployment rate.

Thats a very good thing for global and national. With 17 more states that will follow suit wth the other 33 states that have legalized marijuana the unemployment rate is going to go way down and the marijuana industry offering carrier oriented jobs,  from executive, to bud tenders, to cultivation. As it stands now there are so many jobs out there right now anywhere in the nation and around the world.  So if your looking for work in the cannabis industry then you should have no trouble finding work.

Marijuana Testing of Job Applicants Is Barred by City in Groundbreaking Measure

The bill passed by the New York City Council was the latest in a series of steps to ease cannabis restrictions as efforts to legalize marijuana have stalled.

[What you need to know to start the day: Get New York Today in your inbox.]

Most employers in New York City would no longer be able to force job applicants to take drug tests for marijuana use, under a bill overwhelmingly approved this week by the City Council.

If the drug-screening law is enacted, it would put New York in relatively uncharted territory. Several drug policy and employment experts said that they did not know of similar laws on the books, even in states that have legalized marijuana.

In Maine, where voters approved legal recreational marijuana use, the law prevents employers from discriminating against people who have used cannabis, but it does not specifically regulate drug testing.

The Council’s bill would affect public and private employers in New York City, including companies with headquarters elsewhere, according to Jumaane D. Williams, the city’s public advocate and the bill’s sponsor. He said it was unclear exactly how many employers in the city screen employees for drugs and might be affected.

“I’m proud that the city has taken action where the federal and the state government have stalled,” Mr. Williams said on Thursday.

The legislation, which passed on Tuesday by a 40-to-4 vote, was the latest in a series of progressive steps that city officials have taken to ease cannabis restrictions as state lawmakers’ efforts to legalize marijuana have stalled.

In addition to Mr. Williams’s bill, the city also passed a bill that would stop the city from requiring marijuana testing for people on probation. Both bills are currently awaiting Mayor Bill de Blasio’s signature.

The mayor’s administration fully supports the employment bill, a spokeswoman for the mayor, Olivia Lapeyrolerie, said on Thursday. The employment screening bill would take effect one year after it is signed into law.

Not every employee would be exempt from drug testing if the bill becomes law. If workers appeared to be under the influence of marijuana at work, employers would still be permitted to drug test.

The bill also carves out exemptions for certain safety-sensitive industries, including law enforcement and construction, as well as jobs that require supervising children or medical patients.

The bill also would not stop federal and state employees or contractors, who are not under the city’s jurisdiction, from being tested. Nor would it end the drug-test requirements imposed by the federal government on transportation workers like truck drivers and pilots.

Dionna King, a policy manager at the Drug Policy Alliance, acknowledged that the range of exceptions could weaken the impact of the bill. Still, she said the bill was an important step toward ending the stigma attached to marijuana use.

“Through this legislation, there will still be a good number of folks who will no longer have to submit to testing just to get employment,” Ms. King said.

Pre-employment drug testing started to become increasingly common in the 1980s. Former President Ronald Reagan issued an executive order in 1986 that called for “drug-free workplaces” in the federal government, and mandated drug testing at federal agencies.

In 1988, the Drug-Free Workplace Act extended the policy to federal contractors and recipients of federal grants. From there, it ultimately spread to the private sector, pushed by advocates of strong antidrug policy, according to Mark A.R. Kleiman, a professor at public policy at New York University.

By 2011, more than half of United States employers conducted drug screenings on all of their job candidates, according to a survey from the Society for Human Resource Management, a trade organization. Only 29 percent of employers did not conduct drug tests at all.

“It has become so normalized now,” Ms. King said. “People expect it as part of the hiring process.”

Employers defended the testing as a way to root out prospective workers whose drug use could have led to impaired judgment, lower productivity and higher absentee rates, according to Melissa J. Osipoff, a lawyer at the employment law firm Fisher Phillips.

But opponents to pre-employment drug screening believe that the practice is overly invasive and creates an unnecessary barrier to employment. Mr. Kleiman and Ms. King said there was little evidence that passing a drug test would be a predictor of an employee’s job performance.

In recent years, as attitudes toward marijuana have shifted, some employers began to reconsider their views on marijuana testing, Ms. Osipoff said.

Even in states that have legalized some form of marijuana, employers have felt pressed to reconsider drug-testing policies in order to hire competitively, Ms. Osipoff said.

“In states where it’s legal, they’ll tell you, ‘We can’t get good candidates if we test for marijuana,’” she said.

But Kathryn S. Wylde, 64, president of the Partnership for New York City, which represents business leaders, called the bill an overreach by the City Council.

“This is another instance where City Council is interfering in the relationship between employees and employers,” she said.

Ms. Wylde, 64, said the bill would increase costs for global employers in particular, forcing them to modify existing policies to comply with the city’s law.

Conclusion

So, check out vaporizers for cannabis and what’s up with the Airvape X. Be sure and leave me a comment and tell me what you think,  and if you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer them.

Buy Seeds Legally?

The question on most people who want to start growing there own marijuana is “where can I buy marijuana seeds legally? ” The answer to that question is simple,  you can buy marijuana seeds legally in the Unites States depending on what state you get the seeds from and depending on that particular States laws and you can also get seeds internationally.  There are still countries  that are up holding laws against the use of marijuana. In 1962 a treaty was signed globaly making marijuana illegal all over the world.  And even though the Federal government is starting to get on board with the legalization of marijuana and very soon the marijuana prohibition will be over because the Federal government is realizing the over all benefits of the marijuana industry,  financially as well as medically.

But as far as marijuana seeds are concerned it’s not illegal to purchase marijuana seeds or even possess them. You see the reason that marijuana seeds are not illegal is because the seed itself has no mind altering effects. The only way the seed becomes illegal is the moment the seed is germinated.  Then it becomes a plant which is illegal at the present time.

Now some States that have legalized the use of cannabis will allow you to grow your own weed. In the State of California you are allowed to cultivate for personal use in the unincorporated areas of certen counties.

California has set limitations that allow you to to grow plants only inside your private residence. San Bernardino County for example prohibits outdoor cultivation of cannabis.

For Qualified Medical Use

For medical use, each qualified patient with a Medical Marijuana ID Card may cultivate up to 12 plants inside his/her private residence.  Cultivation for medical use is limited to no more than a total of 24 plants per private residence, when more than one person with a medical ID card or primary caregiver lives at the residence.

Recreational Use

For recreational use, a person over the age of 21 years old may cultivate up to six plants inside his/her primary residence. And,  no more than a total of six plants per private residence may be cultivated for recreational Use.

Under no circumstances may not than 30 plants- 24 for medical use and 6 for recreational use can be grown in any single private residence.

Buy Marijuana Seeds Legally

Buying marijuana seeds is easy and legal if you are interested staring your own marijuana garden and your looking for good quality seeds with a wide veriaty of strains then click this link to see what “seedman” has for you.                     https://www.seedsman.com/en/?a_aid=5c85aac5d8c53

Most seed dispensarys will only sell seeds as a novelty item to be used as a snack food because they’re high in protein, or you can get them as a high end bird seed.  So just keep in mind that most seed dispensarys will not sell seeds for illegal use such as cultivation if that’s what you plan on doing with your seeds.

Growing Marijuana, Mistakes to Avoid

If your growing your own weed at home and your a beginner there are a few things you should try and avoid.

First, during the germination stage of your seeds be very careful not to handel your seedlings to much. At this stage the roots are very delicate and can be damaged very easily so be careful when germinating your seeds.

Secondly, be sure to check the PH of your water. It’s very important to make sure that your water isn’t to acidic. This will definitely effect the plants growth. It is best to use bottled water.

Thirdly, avoid over watering your plants. You would be surprised at how little water your plants require, to much water can dround the roots causing the roots to rot, avoid “root rot”. This isn’t to say don’t water your plants just not to much. And a way to tell when to water your plants is to put your hand on the soil and if it feels damp then your OK, if it feels dry then add water. The soil should be damp, not wet.

Fourthly, don’t over feed your plants! I can’t stress this enough. If your using plant food for your plants, FOLLOW THE INSTITUTIONS on the package to the letter. Also, you really don’t need to use plant food for the first few weeks while the plants are babies.  They will get all they need from the soil it’s self, provided you use rich soil and the PH is correct and that’s about 6.0 to 7.5. If you have a tester then follow the chart that comes with the soil kit. Don’t over feed your plants!

And fifth, consistent sun light. If you have to grow your plants indoors make sure that your grow lights are adiquit for the number of plants you are growing. At first 12 hours of light each day then as the season changes reduce your daylight to about 8 hours a day until harvest.

Always remember, the proper combination of all 5 of these points that I have listed should give you the results your looking for. Nice tasty buds that will give you the results your looking for.

Cannabis News

The Las Angeles Times, Story by: Patrick McGreevy

California Cities Sue State Over Home Deliveries of Pot

In the first significant challenge to California’s open cannabis market,  24 cities that restrict pot sales sued Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration Thursday, arguing that by allowing home deliveries in their city limits,  the state is violating 2016’s Prop. 64, which legalized recreational marijuana.

Now if you ask me, I think thoughs cities are just bitching because they have nothing better to do than try to do,  what I think is a losing battle.  What the hell do they care if people get their weed delivered or not.  Before the state made it legal, people were getting weed delivered anyway. So now it’s out in the open cities want to butch.  All that’s going to do is cause these people to deliver behind their backs.  California and the counties, and cities need to get on the same page. There are too many people with the power to decide, and no one can get It together because of it. Who’s running this state anyway. Now where was I….

The law suit,  which was filed in Fresno County Superior Court against the California Bureau of Cannabis Control and it’s Chief, Lori Ajax, comes in response to a regulation adopted by the agency in January that permits state licensed firms to deliver cannabis in cities that have banned pot shops.

Here we are again,  marijuana is legal in the state of California.  Why do cities think they can change the frickin state law…

Officials from cities with prohibitions on pot sales object to the rules, voicing concerns that Home delivery of cannabis would lead to robberies of cash-laden vans an influx of illegal sellers blending in with licensed delivery fleet.

Again, if that were really true then may be they should also stop uber drivers as well. They are always getting robbed. What the delivery company should do in this case is hire an armed guard to ride along.  That’s what Colorado does. So in my opinion, that robbery thing is nothing more than an excuse because these cities have nothing better to waist their money on…

To avoid opposition from city leaders and police Chiefs,  backers of Prop 64 offered assurance in 2016 that measure would presue local control of pot sales.  The lawsuit notes that the measure introduction said that it “safeguards” local control, allowing local government to regulate marijuana related activities.

The cities behind the suit contend that the Bureau lacks legal authority to allow deliveries in conflicts with local government veto power over pot sales in their jurisdictions.

“We dont want deliveries in our city because of the concerns over criminal activities” said a Walter Allen III, a city councilman in Covina and retired police officer.  “The problem we have is the state has taken upon itself to bypass Prop. 64 and supersede our local ordinances, and we are really upset about that”.

Plaintiffs include the cities of Covina, Downey,  Riverside, and Beverly Hills are among the 80% of California’s 482 municipalities that that have banned stores selling cannabis for recreational purpose.

Anyway, the story goes on and on,  but you get the point. They’re the haters and there are only a hand full of them compared to all the people that use marijuana.  They will never stop people from using marijuana. Because if they could than they would have already.

Conclusion

So, as I’ve mentioned you may buy or possess marijuana seed as long as they are not used for illegal use,  such as growing marijuana from them.  But you can grow plants according to state law. And with that being said I say exercise your God given right and light up.

Also don’t forget that April 20th= 4/20.

Women and Marijuana, What Role do they Play

She generally gave herself very good advice, (though she very seldom followed it.) Lewis Carrol “Alice in Wonderland”

What Role do Women Play in the World of Marijuana

When you think of drug use you rarely consider who it is behind the seens. For 100’s of years women have played a part in the marijuana industry.

Women have been a part of the marijuana industry as anyone. Women are not thought of in a lot of regards. As we all know, women are a huge part of the Eco system and I’m going to introduce you to some of the women behind marijuana and the impact they have had threw out time.

Together we have more power. As the cannabis industry grows on a national and global scale, women have the opportunity to build a new American industry from inception and redefine the workplace to create environments in which we can flourish and define our own destiny, and cultivate the next generation of industry leaders.

In 2018, The Stoner Babe’s Coloring Book became a cult classic almost overnight, and cannabis-centric, women-led entertainment, like Comedy Central’s Broad City and Olivia Milch’s 2018 Netflix movie Dude, have never been more popular.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, cannabis-loving women writers are publishing more books than ever about women and weed, including Feminist Weed Farmer by Madrone Stewart and Tokin’ .

Among these writers are also seven other women who In the past wrote their thoughts about cannabis.

Hildebrand von Bingen

Hildegrad von Binger 1098-1179

Hildegrad von Bingen may have been the most awesome nun you’ve never heard of. Supposedly experiencing visions since childhood. She began pursuing a religious life at the age of 15. She became the first nun in recorded history to write about consuming cannabis.

In Physica, the German Abbess, writer, composer, and visionary mystic writer about the medical benefits of cannabis, citing the plant as an effective pain reliever for headaches and poulitice to treat wounds.

She also wrote about prophetic and apocalyptic ideas on topics such as church, redemption, and relationship between God and humanity, plus dozens of lyric poems and two treatises on medicine and natural history.

Hildegrad von Binger was not declared a saint until 2012, but a biographer proclaimed her a saint and miracles were supposedly reported during her life and at her grave.

Harriet Martineau 1802-1876

An ancestor of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, Harriet Martineau embraced atheism at a time when most English folks didn’t, and she was an active member of abolitionist movement when it was unpopular.

Martineau helped found the beloved genre of “The School Story”, when she published the Cofton Boys in 1841, and she pioneered “Back to the Land” journalism with her writings about her garden in England’s Lake District.

As a woman who spent the majority of her life breaking barriers and fighting for Social and economic justice, it’s no wonder Martineau was cool with Cannabis, most notably in her memoir Eastern Life Present and Past, in which she writes an account of enjoying cannabis in a harem during her traverse in the Middle East.

Louisa May Alcott

Louisa May Alcott 1832-1888

Louisa May Alcott, was, as you probably already know, the author of “Little Women” as well as the sequels, “Little Men”, and . But Louisa May Alcott also wrote some pretty incredible short stories about cannabis as well. “Perilous Play” tells the tale of two would be lovers getting lifted and lost in a boat, and then inexplicably ended up engaged.

In the story, one character explains the effects to another: “A heavenly steadiness comes over one in which they move as if on air, everything is calm and lovely to them, no pain, no care, no fear of anything, Ann’s while it lasts one feels like an angel half asleep”. Even better, the story ends with: Heaven bless Hashish, if its dreams end like this!”

And like A lot of cannabis consumers, it seems Alcott might have experienced one or two unfortunate freak outs while high. In “A Modern Mephistopheles, ” Alcott heroine takes an infused candy and fibds that “an inward excitement possessed her, a wild desire to sing her very heart out came over her , and a strange chill which she thought a vague presentiment of coming ill crept through her blood. ”

Alice B. Toklas 1877-1967

While we can’t say for certain itf Alice B. Toklas maintained her own personal stash, it’s safe to say she endorsed cannabis. She published The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook in 1954, eight years after the death of her lifelong partner, writer Gertrude Stein. She included a now-infamous recipe for a Moroccan cannabis confection made with dried fruit, nuts, and spices.

Although Toklas is widely credited with creating the dish, the recipe was reportedly contributed to her cookbook by one of her many creative friends, writer and avant-garde artist, Brion Gysin. (Apparently, Toklas kicked it with F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and Pablo Picasso on a regular basis as well.)

In an interview on Pacifica Radio in 1963, Toklas said she included the recipe in her cookbook without realizing that cannabis was the highlight of the dish. But her description of the infused dessert tells another story: “This is the food of paradise. Euphoria and brilliant storms of laughter; ecstatic reveries and extensions of one’s personality on several simultaneous planes are to be complacently expected.”

American publishers wouldn’t include the controversial recipe in the book’s first edition, but a second edition containing a hashish fudge recipe was published in the US in the early 1960s. The dish was instantly embraced by hippie culture and referenced in the 1968 film, I Love You Alice B. Toklas.

Isak Dinesen 1885-1962

The Danish writer who penned the classic memoir-turned-Hollywood film Out of Africa (1985) was born Karen Blixen, but she’s more widely known by her pen name, Isak Dinesen. Dinesen’s finely crafted short stories, set in the past and infused with gothic supernaturalism, incorporate the themes of eros and dreams.

In Out of Africa, Dinesen wistfully recalls her years owning and operating a coffee plantation in Kenya, until mismanagement, drought, and the falling price of coffee forced her to return to Denmark. According to a book on her life, Isak Dinesen: The Life of a Storyteller, Dinesen’s plantation was just one of the places where the writer and her companions “liked to experiment with the sensations hashish, opium, or miraa could give them.”

She also wrote numerous essays and a novel, The Angelic Avengers, under the pseudonym Pierre Andrézel. She apparently hung out with Marilyn Monroe, Arthur Miller, Timothy Leary, and Aldous Huxley for a while too.

In a letter to her mother in 1924, she wrote: “The greater part of humanity needs excitement, some slight intoxication, pleasure, and danger too. I think that if it were in my power to do anything at all for humanity, I myself would like to amuse theml.”

Ok, so far there are 5 women who wrote or had something to do with marijuana. I hope I’m not boring you with this. Being a mam I’m finding all my research on this subject very fascinating. It appears that women had quite a bit to do with the business of marijuana. This is just a little bit of womens involvement in the cannabis world. Maya Angelou 1928-2014

As an iconic poet dancer, actor, civil rights activist , and an award winning author of “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” Maya Angelou wasn’t known for keeping her opinion to herself including her thoughts on cannabis.

The celebrated novelest wrote extensively about her relationship with cannabis in her 2nd autobiography, “Gather Together in My Name. ” While detailing her first time taking cannabis at a dinner party, Angelou recalls, “The food was the best I’d ever tasted. every morsel was an experience of sheer delight . I lost myself in the haze of sensuel pleasure, pleasure, enjoying not only the tastes but feel of the food in my mouth, the smells and the sound of my jaws chewing.

The writer reportedly enjoyed the plants many benefits in a variety of ways, whether having dinner with her mother or taking a long walk.

Susan Sontag 1933-2004

An intellectual, a mother, and sexually progressive woman who competed with men for bylines in rhe 1960’s. Susan Sontag challenged all kinds of traditional norms. The Harvard Alumni had a private relationship with renowed photographer Annie Leibovitz for a time, and won the National Book Award in 2000 for her novel “In America”.

Sontag also published the play “Alice In Bed” as well as several non-fiction works like “Illness as a Metaphor” and “Where the Stress Falls” before passing away in 2004. On top of that, she reported on many of the issues and conflicts that plaguex her generation, such as the Vietnam War, the AIDS epidemic, and the Bosnian War.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the author, journalist, playwright, and native New Yorker was also pro-cannabis. In an interview with High Times, Sontag said: “I think marijuana is much better than liquor. I think a society which is addicted to a very destructive and unhealthy drug—namely alcohol—certainly has no right to complain or be sanctimonious or censor the use of a drug which is much less harm industry.

Proposition 64 allows adults over 21 to possess 1 oz. of marijuana or 8 grams of cannabis concentrate.

The Cannabis Industry is Exploding

It appears that the U.S. Government is starting to take a closer look into the legalization of cannabis and its health benefits. Ten years ago the U.S. Government had been getting false information about cannabis and its health benefits. Since the 29 States have legalized the use of marijuana medical and recreational it has opened a flood gate for jobs around the United States such as farming, merchants, as well as the medical field. The revenue aspects in the cannabis industry are off the charts. At the present time the cannabis industry is at $10.8 Billion annually and it is going to continue keep to rising.

According to a 2019 Cannabis Harvest projection says that California has to many marijuana farms and if something isn’t done about it that it will devastate the industry.

Vessel Logistics, a San Francisco based cannabis distribution company, discovered that more than 1,142 acres of cannabis farms hold state permits. If, you were to do the math it adds up to about 9 million pounds of crops every year. Now that is a lot of pot smoking. Even if, that number were cut in half California would still have an over supply which is unavoidable.

California isn’t the only state with over production of the tasty bud plant. It seems that Oregon growers are producing two times what the market can support and that there is a six years supply of weed sitting on Shelves and farms.

Over production is just one of the problems that California is facing. Temporary licensing is becoming a major problem and could send growers back into the black market unless the Legislature passes a law to that will push back the dead line for an extension. Also, legal statuses for cannabis cultivation and sales have become a messy business as well.

As if that wasn’t enough problems, city and county government are also restricting retail and delivery businesses within their jurisdiction. As I understand it, when medical marijuana became legal in some States the federal government left it up to the states to outline their own amendments and enforce any laws prudent to that particular state. This was the federal government’s way of giving themselves time to Chang their minds.

elves time to make up their own minds about the legalization of marijuana. Which they’re coming close to making up their minds in favor of marijuana because they are now realizing the financial explosion associated with marijuana, and that marijuana has many health benefits. And now they want their piece of the pie too. Everybody is cashing in.

Job Market

The cannabis industry has opened up a huge job market all over California. So this is just one more of the benefits surounding the cannabis industry. From what i have seen in my research there are a lot of cannabis based jobs out there and they’re are some pretty good jobs that pay very well. There are jobs such as financial controller, teimer/packager, bud tender, dispensary associated, and the list goes on.

Since the legalization of cannabis in 29 States the job market has begun to flourish in California. I don’t know anyone out there who wants to work in the cannabis business or not, but if you do, then your only a search and a mouse click away. I’ll tell you, if your looking for a job, may I suggest you turn your attention toward the cannabis work force. What’s the worst that could happen? They could say “NO”. In that case you won’t be any worse off. But I have a good feeling about this. The beauty of this is that you have a lot to choose from. You don’t have to be a pot smoker to work in the cannabis industry, and there are a lot of career oriented businesses.

Cannabis Health Benefits

Cree c

Is Cannabis Healthy for You?

There has been a lot of controversy in regards to whether or not cannabis has health benefits. There are now 29 States that have legalized the use of marijuana, either for medical use or recreational use, in some cases both.

Upon my own personal research I’ve discovered that there are quit a bit of proven health benefits that marijuana contributes to.

The Food and Drud Administration (FDA) still refuses to recognize marijuana as a use for medical reasons. However CBD (Cannabidoil) has been recognized by the FDA to have properties that are beneficial to people with epilepsy, social anxiety, post traumatic  stress disorder just to name a few.

CBD has no psychoactive effects but is beneficial in certain types of ailments as I have previously outlined. I’m also going to outline some other health benefits that marijuana has for those that suffer from other ailments other than what I’ve already outlined.

Cancer

Cannabis is known to slow or even stop regenerating cancer cells. Also, marijuana helps with nausea associated with chemo therapy.  I remember my aunt when she went threw chemo therapy, let me tell you, it wasn’t a pretty sight when she would come home after her dose of chemo. My cousins and I finally talked her into smoking some weed and it did seem to have a relaxing effect on her and she didn’t have the urge to puke as a result.

Chronic Pain

The National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicines said that there was  definite evidence that cannabis or cannabinoid, found in the marijuana plant, can be an effective treatment for chronic pain. Commonly, that is by far the primary reason people use medical marijuana.

So if your in chronic pain, I can only suggest smoking a joint or taking a couple hits off your bong or pipe. I’m sure it will make you feel much better. It does for me, who knows it just help with other shit that may be ailing you. Kind of like killing two birds with one toke, lol.

Alcohol and Drug Addiction

It’s been revealed that using marijuana may help people with alcohol or opioid addiction. So with that being said, I’m afraid that I would have to strongly disagree with that first sentence. In my personal opinion I would have to say that marijuana does not help when it comes to alcoholism or other drug use. It’s been said that marijuana is a gate way drug, Bullshit! IF your an alcoholic then there is no amount of marijuana that is going to diswade you from drinking. A person has to want to quit drinking. And there is no way you can substitute one for the other. Of course that’s only my opinion. And if you can then my hat is off to you.

Social Anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

CBD (Cannabidoil) has  recently grown in popularity as being the cannabis chemical that aids in the therapy for Social Anxiety and Stress disorder. CBD has several mechanisms of action including CB1- acting in the mind and CB2- acting in the body receptors found in the peripheral organs and skin.

Lung Capasity

So I read that marijuana can be helpful with lung capasity. This has nothing to to do with any of the chemicals in the marijuana plant itself. The fact that when smoking marijuana and you breath in the smoke deeply into your lungs and hold it for a period of time helps to improve lung capacity. I’ll call it sreching exercise for your lungs. Unless your a tabacco smoker, then you can toss lung capacity out the window. There are no documented case’s, that I have ever heard of, to prove that marijuana causes lung cancer. So you none tabacco smokers, I say exercise that lung capasity and do some stretching exercises.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is caused by pressure on the optic nerve which impaired vision and possible blindness if not treated. Back when marijuana was being considered for medical use Glaucoma was one of the primary reasons for that. The use of marijuana is known to relive the pressure on the optic nerve.

Because customary methods of treating Glaucoma, such as laser surgery, eye drops, etc. had unacceptable results. Marijuana became an alternative to conventional treatment. So it is marijuana to the rescue.

Arthritis

Arthritis is a condition that effects the joints and surrounding tissue. There are several types of arthritis. Arthritis is known to be painful and makes everyday tasks very difficult to manipulate.

As an alternative to conventional treatment marijuana is known to relieve pain and reduce inflammation caused by arthritis.

Arthritis usually happens in people 65 and older. Arthritis doesn’t discriminate, and anyone no matter their age can have arthritis.

Summery

So, as you can see, cannabis has many benefits to one’s health. Anywhere from psyco to muscular disorders. As scientists continue to study the chemicals in cannabis as to the health benefits are discovering that there are many health benefits associated with the marijuana plant.

THC’s chemical structure is similar to the endocannabinoid anandamide which transmits chemical messages between nerve cells. The THC binds with cannabinoid receptors CB1 like a key in a lock, forcing the

As you can see, marijuana has many health benefits and this article only scratches the surface. Marijuana has been used for 1000’s of years, 3000 to be more precise, for medical use. Also, marijuana was legal until 1937 when the government stepped in and made marijuana illegals. This I don’t understand when the use of alcohol is much more deadly.

I hope you got something out of this article. Please comment or leave a message if there is any way I can help with your cannabis needs. Just remember, it’s always 420 somewhere.

Bongs

Today I want to talk about bongs. I want to talk about all kinds of different bongs. I would have to say that out of all the ways there are to smoke marijuana, the bong in my opinion is the best to get stoned with. I’ve always gotten a much much better high from smoking from a bong.

threw out my life I have had a lot of bongs. I’ve seen bongs come and go. Back In the day when I was younger, much younger I worked down in Texas on the Kings Ranch in search for oil and natural gas. Boy was that a fun job. We had to use helicopters to get out to where the job was on the ranch because it had rained down there for two weeks straight. The pilots were super cool and would let us smoke weed while in flight. Talk about being high. Hell I’ve smoked a joint at 35,000 ft. going threw clouds and shit.

Of course that’s a lot of what we did when I was on that crew down there. Every night was a Saterday night. We would get up before the sun and get back to our motel after the sun went down and we would party. Then get up and do it again.

I use to have this really cool bong that I carried with me while was out of town working. That bong went everywhere with me. The bong was a ceramic bust of a wizard smoking a pipe. The pipe the wizard smoked was the bowl you put the weed in, it stood about 10″ tall but after trying to force a cube of ice into the mouth piece I broke the top off the bong and had to take a hacksaw and cut off about 2″ off the top making it an 8″ tall bong.

Anyway I really loved that bong. You see back in thoughs days Texas didn’t have head shops but Arizona did and I had given a friend of mine 20 bucks who was going home to Arizona for a few days during our time off from searching for oil and natural gas to get me that particular bong.

I had known someone else that had the same exact bong and I wanted one. Back then we didn’t have the internet to order things we wanted so we had to choose different methods of getting thing that were hard to get.

A few days later when we were all back to work my friend came threw with my brand new wizard bust bong. I was so proud of that bong and I wouldn’t smoke weed any other way except that bong. Although I never took it out to the field with me so I had to smoke joints instead. Which is another good way to smoke weed.

I can’t remember how that bong got away from me but I lost it. I hung on to that bong for a number of years before I lost it. Since then bongs have come and gone. Some I’ve made myself others I acquired in other ways.

Today bongs are more sophisticated with all kinds of chambers, others with little slits in the water chamber in order to cause a type of Wirral pool effect. I think that was an attempt to get an even mix of smoke and air. Nonetheless, it worked very well and it was cool to watch the water turn into a vortex as you sucked in the smoke air mixture.

There are still bongs that are made the traditional way. Nothing fancy but still effective just the same. Water at the bottom and a straight tube up to the mouth and into the lungs. Now you can get bongs with multiple water chambers and smoke chambers, there are tall bongs, short bongs, bongs that have dragons on them, any kind of bong you could imagine or think up, it’s out there.

Of course, we all know what the main purpose of a bong aside from the obvious is to cool the smoke in order to get a much smoother bong hit and also get more smoke in the lungs so you can get the full effect of your favorite cannabis strain.

If bongs are your thing then I encourage you to click on the link below and check out what Grasscity has going on.
